Geo-Thermal Permitting

Geo-thermal heating and air conditioning is definitely the way to go if your site will accommodate a system.  These systems can greatly reduce your heating and air conditioning costs.   In some cases their installation costs are less than conventional fossile fuel systems.

Before you decided to purchase a geo-thermal system you need to determine the answers to the following questions, regarding your site:  Is your site large enough and is the site topography suitable for the installation?  Do you have wetland resource area issues?  What type of soils are on your site, and what is the depth to ground water and to ledge.  All of this information will be required in order to determine the size of your system, and in order to determine if you will drill wells or install trenches.  It is also important to know the regulations of the minicipality in which the system will be installed.  Will Zoning, Board of Health, Buildin Inspector and Conservation Commission regulations allow your new system?

At Land Planning Inc. we can answer these questions for you, and we can guide you through the permitting process.  Our Engineers are experienced in ground source permitting for geo-thermal heating and air conditioning systems.
