Spectrum Health Worcester, MA

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. operates a busy outpatient clinic on this site.  The demands on this facility have significantly increased and they required additional parking.

Because our client needed to maximize their available parking, there was inadequate space for conventional above-ground stormwater detention facilities.  We solved this design challenge using a Hancor LandMax detention facility located under the expanded parking lot.  The runoff that enters this detention facility is pretreated through a Stormceptor inlet unit.

Land Planning, Inc. successfully obtained the necessary permits from the City of Worcester’s Planning board and Conservation Commission. Land Planning, Inc. continued to provide engineering and surveying support throughout the construction phase and will prepare the required as-built plans upon completion.
